None of mine are interested in NYC. I'm not sure why, but I can assure you that not every kid wants to be in Manhattan.

They've chosen other cities in the US and all seem happy where they've landed.

Huh? Citadel (the hedge fund) is in Miami. Are you talking about Citadel Securities?

Doesn’t Citadel Sec have a big NYC office…but it’s just handling the day-to-day of processing trades for others…again, it’s owned by Ken Griffin but I think operates quite apart from the hedge funds.

It legally has to, otherwise Citadel sec would make the market for Citadel. They have different CEOs, but both are essentially led by Griffin, and Griffin has both HQed in Miami. They also spent a buttload of money to get Dallas a stock exchange, weird choice but the move is down South for many financial jobs, especially in Miami.
