What had changed for us is many families who we like moved away because of the crime and feeling like it’s never going to change.

I-83 won't do much. The underlying problem is that general elections are meaningless and there's no accountability anywhere in DC Government.

I-83 will make it much easier for new candidates to successfully challenge incumbents. In recent elections, incompetent incumbents have been able to retain their seats purely due to multiple opponents splitting the opposition vote. Having two challengers named White up against Bowser is a good case in point.
