Not even close. This show is completely non-representative of most of the families I know around here. What an embarrassment. No way would I, or most of the moms I know, have the time or desire to deal with something like this.
Although my kids are in the local public schools. Maybe these kids/families are mostly private?

Just because the studio is/was in Ashburn doesn't mean the kids all live there. At least one of them is in FCPS, in the Burke area.

And several dancers weren't even from VA but from MD. I follow the mom of one of them on TikTok and they chose not to be part of the filming of the show. They live in MD and traveled to VA for lessons each day. She's now with a new studio since Studio Bleu went dunzo.

Apparently the owner owes a lot of people money. That’s the story I want to hear about.

Really? Just went to the website and looks like they still have classes going. They have a complete fall schedule for 2024-2025 and classes start this week.

Many of the teachers decamped and some started their own studio.

The theater/voice teacher is now working on her own.

And Glo Hampton has a new dance company that may be taking over the Studio Bleu space.

She was an absolute sweetheart and the kids just loved her. It’s horrible to see this side of her on the show. Her daughter was known as an excellent dancer even back then.

The show is scripted for its particular audience. Your dance teacher is just working as an actress for income or reputation, relax.
