Arlington’s player pool size hides a lot of mediocre coaching and “development” issues that show as players age up.

Arlington needs a change is direction. New club philosophy that is reflected in the coaches. There is a reason certain coaches stay, new coaches go and the results over time remain the same.

Does Arlington have any good coaches?

There is zero incentive for them to change anything. As they currently stand, they're one of largest revenue generating clubs in the area. Same goes for other clubs around to be fair, there isn't any reason for these clubs to change.

EG who was the assistant last year stepped up to take the role. It's been well received is what I heard.

Hopefully Arlington has found a long term solution with her there. Just been a lot of turnover in the last couple of years.

A lot of potential for that club if they get stable.

EG is in the honeymoon phase, but having watched her coach I'd withhold my enthusiasm. She's not great.

Which age groups did you watch?

Seem to be well received by the players and parents so hopefully it works out. She coaches older ages that start doing recruiting so definitely hope she stays!

They will do well but not on loundon level.

When did this become a comedy forum?

Just speaking truth. Arlington has played very weak competition last couple of years. They have not been tested.

Many pp keep saying they have not been tested. The conference include VA & NC teams and several nova teams compete in Jeff cup and some other tournament that play team from the other areas. Some went to the playoffs. The “they have not been tested” gotta stop really. No one said we (nova) are the best in the county but some of these teams deserve some credit.

2011 Arlington will be fine, the rest have some work to do.

I don’t know. I think they are more or less to similar with other clubs.

2012 - good team. Will probably qualify for playoffs
2011 - great team. Will continue to succeed
2010 - they haven’t been doing well for years. Missing good offensive players.
2009 - middle of the table
2008 - maybe make a comeback and make playoffs assuming if everyone is healthy
2007 - kids will get places in good colleges but probably cuz of their academic profiles

Other clubs in the are are probably in the same boat being different age groups being strong and some aren’t great.

EG alone can’t change the club.

2012 age group is loaded. NVA, Union, CSA, Courage, Arlington, VDA will all push for playoffs. Will be tough with only the top 4 qualifying.

Probably add Richmond to that group and take out VDA.

Every time a VDA team is mentioned, someone gets on this board and tells them to take them out. So salty!

No one cares about VDA. There is always that on VDA poster that spams threads about other clubs but that's about it. That poster is probably talking to himself over on the VDA girls thread... All 5 posts of it.

+1 VDA dying to be relevant in the NOVA soccer scene. It’s funny and kind of sad.
