I’m assuming these are salaries for full time positions? If so, they seem totally reasonable and even low for running a large organization, even a nonprofit. I work in government so my salary comes from tax dollars and is in the ballpark of 150k, which isn’t exceptionally high for this area.

Low six figures is basically a minimum at this point to find anyone qualified for these type of leadership positions. I’m sure they love soccer and care about the kids playing, but doing something from the good of your heart doesn’t feed your kids or pay the mortgage.

The ED of Alexandria makes 340K a year? Now that is criminal.

Explain how you being an Alexandria taxpayer relevant to this discussion? These are privately funded organizations, right? Not taxpayer funded?

First I'm sorry to hear the constant frustration from families as they come here for information or solace for their grievances. Sadly the boys/girls league and clubs and the college coaches act in alignment to get your money. and fewer clubs in the area only strengthen the hands of these people to be unaccountable.
Second I only share this because families need to understand who runs this club and not misunderstand their coach's role on all this - the coach decides playing time and not much else so if the "bad team culture" or "bad communication" or "broken promises" is your beef make sure you place accountability on the actual club leadership.
Third for families entering the recruitment phase also don't misunderstand these ASA adults who are taking money from your family to pay their mortgages care at all about your kid. They will promote your kid success for the club benefit and ignore your kid if there are struggles. If your kids goal is to play soccer in college at ASA or elsewhere good luck to you; if you're kid is not actually playing at highest level and you are paying and college recruitment is not a realistic goal I'd suggest you find another way to spend your kids time and your money. He is at the girl’s games as well.

When they play vda since he lives down the street in Hoodbridge.

Like he is at all the Ecnl showcases and major tournaments. Plus big Ecnl games and red and white team playoffs and tournaments. Dude works it.

Back 10 or so years ago, Loudoun’s former TD was making a TD salary of $130s-$140s AND Loudoun was contracting with his LLC for “Soccer Training” to the tune of $300K+ a year. Check their 990s from 2015, 2016, etc.

I think it’s low as well especially considering they probably spend 5-10 hrs a week coaching and 40+ hours a week dealing with all the crazy a hole parents that think their kid is the next Messi.

I love this beautiful game. And I’m having a moral dilemma…

I don’t find it ethical with these amounts but… guess it’s time to start a club and hope that in a few years I’m getting 6 figures. It’s doable no?

Why so upset? These numbers are low.

I don't like all the anonymous accusations here because no one can then judge if its informed opinion or a monkey tossing his own sheet. Additionally my family is not yet out of this whole exploitative relationship and I trust no one to act in good faith.
These people want your money and will keep you on the hook any way possible.

I love this beautiful game. And I’m having a moral dilemma…

I don’t find it ethical with these amounts but… guess it’s time to start a club and hope that in a few years I’m getting 6 figures. It’s doable no?

But you find Disney markups ethical?
Or any restaurant meal?
