Again, like others here, you seem to be missing the point. I am not "worked up" about it. I am merely pointing out that it is embarrassing as a form of messaging, and that it is part of why increasing numbers of male votes are moving away from the Democratic Party. When they hear something like that, their eyes roll, and they ignore it and you.

You're missing the point. If it's humor, it's just embarrassingly dorky. Like Janet Reno calling you up to see if you want to "party" or something like that.
That is an adorably out of touch reference. Who cares if it’s embarrassingly dorky humor? It’s essentially a dad joke, which seems like it’s kind of perfect.
A lot of White men have been radicalized by right wingers because for a long time only right wingers were talking to White men. The Democratic Party is addressing that, with dad jokes. I think this is a good thing. $4 million dollars says it was a good thing, too. That’s not an insignificant amount of men, and a lot of dudes go where the heat is.

Please watch The Big Lebowski. You might the humor of the title then.
The fact that you think you are teaching me something by referencing me to The Big Lebowski, a film that is well over 20 years old and that the most people have seen numerous times, tells me all I need to know. This is exactly the point. You think you are funny, but it's just out of date, boring and embarrassing.

But it is most prevalent among Democrats and liberals. I don't think it's inane. It may seem minor to you, but the gender gap is real. And the whole "dude" thing just makes it more apparent. Might as well trot out Ned Flanders to propose that "us dudes" have a talk about voting for Democrats. It's embarrassing and off-putting. There is also an undertone of condescension to it--like we're not even going to call you a "man" or "men," but rather "dudes."
? do white men not call each other dude?
If you were a man, you'd know that it isn't as common as you think, and it isn't in the dopey way that these political groups do it.
But the people who created "White Dudes for Harris" are presumably "white dudes", no?
Yes, they are extremely embarrassing white men that many other men would naturally avoid, so, yes, in that respect, they are the perfect "white dudes."
