It's not a bad dress but it's terrible when everyone flocks to wear the same thing. It's kind of sad. No creativity. Just conformity.

I actually think the heathered tweed version from Tuckernuck is much better than the solid one. It looks more like a Chanel reference and a bit more sophisticated in a tweed plaid -- the heathered blue tweed or the "Seaglass" plaid tweed are both cute. The pattern and texture make the buttons and braiding feel more organic and less tacked on to me. With a bit of tailoring and a delicate low heel to offer some height (nothing heavy) I think it can be a cute look.

That photo at the top of the Washington Post article of the woman at the GOP convention in the red version wearing white sneakers is so hideous though and that's how it's being worn a lot -- in a bright color without and tailoring with flats. It's not flattering and instantly makes you look shorter and wider than you are. It's just a hard no.

I'm 5'7 and 125 lbs and it's absolutely horrible. I'm hourglass and get dresses from St John and tailor them to be more fitting.

If it's so ubiquitous why couldn't they get better photos of women actually wearing it? The second photo with the hill staffer and the dog it's just an ill-fitting bunched up mess--too tight across the bust and her hips. I don't get the impression that it'll look any better when that poor girls stands up and pulls it down over her butt.

I got the knock-off from Amazon in pink. Love it and saved myself $200!

Super shapeless and unflattering. I get most of my work dresses tailored, but I refuse to tailor an almost $300 dress! Better off buying something on discount and tailoring that.

I’m petite and the dress looks great on me. Not sure why you’re all saying you need long legs? I think tuckernuck in general is great for smaller women. I get a lot of compliments when I wear this dress.
