This works but not in the city I live in - I’ve never seen anyone shoot their shot - it’s the most non-shooter city ever

I’m married now with 3 kids but this is how people met and dated back when I was younger.

Gym and fitness classes. Wineries on the weekend. Grocery shopping. But we are mostly at home.

Work, industry organization events, conferences. Assuming you’re also there for career reasons and not just to meet women, see example above.

Classes - fitness and otherwise. Again though you need to be going because you want to, not just to meet women, it’s too obvious.

Do not join a women’s organization (for example women in engineering) and announce to every woman you meet that you joined to meet women to date, not to help them advance their careers.

Sorry, you're out of touch. Nobody does this anymore and it's a waste of time. Men who could in theory successfully do this can clean up on apps x 100 by just tapping on their phone. Why would you drive somewhere and do an activity or push a cart around a grocery store hoping to serendipitously run into a one single woman you find attractive when you can swipe hundreds of women on your phone? You also have to hope the woman you approach is single and not wearing headphones or on her phone. It's a lost cause. Plus men in their 30s with their crap together are going to have friends, family, and friends' spouses and girlfriends trying to set them up constantly.

99% of men today cannot do that. First many of them suffer from anxiety..And second this could be.controversial and whether fair or not men are not encouraged to approach women in public
And if they do they have to follow a very strict protocol and as result come across either too uptight or a lost kid looking for his way back to mommy.

It’s an American issue mostly - and even then, I think the northeast and pack of northwest are the worse places for taking your shot

People abroad (well I dunno about Asia) and other parts of the country it’s way more ok to shoot your shot
