Yes, but I’m pregnant. In previous pregnancies I’d just skip the turkey and get roast beef or ham, but for now I’m skipping all of it.

The roasted turkey breast I buy says it is antibiotic free, all natural and the ingredients are turkey, water, salt, and rosemary extract. What makes this unhealthy?

You were in a deli.

Not helpful.

The turkey in a turkey melt is not getting hot enough to kill listeria unless you cook it first separately.

I'm a little hesitant about deli meat anyway. We try to limit it because of all the salt. I think, though, that fresh fruit and veggies are the most typical culprit for listeria, and I don't limit those, so I'd take the deli meat issue pretty lightly.

I thought it was just Boar's Head brand? Which is unfortunate since I think of it as one of the better options.

+1

Too processed and too much salt. Never been a big fan of deli meat anyways.

I buy a chicken whole roasted and cut the meat off. I don’t buy deli meat.

Gross. You know those chickens are undercooked.
