Don’t waste your doctor’s time calling to triple check this. Good grief. You need to ignore your mother.

The Air Force allows pregnant pilot fly non-ejection seat aircraft through the second trimester.

Sit close to the bathroom. I was barely nauseous during the first trimester, but my flight from LA to London was miserable. No risk to the baby though

I’m 12 weeks now and we are leaving tomorrow.

My mom called me this morning to say how irresponsible it was for us to fly and how it can be risky. I know my mom is not a doctor but she’s making me feel bad.

What recommendations did your doctor offer you guys about traveling? Or did you personally travel at 12 weeks?

I am going to call the doctor again to triple check…

I flew later than that with all three pregnancies (late second tri). You’ll be fine. Probably best to put boundaries up with your mom.

Good Grief NO it's not risky to fly.
You and the baby will be fine. You can continue to fly much further into the pregnancy. This is ridiculous.

I flew internationally at 20 weeks. My MFM, who I began seeing after for an issue that developed later, laughed at the idea that this was reckless or inappropriate.

Tell your mom to stop stressing you out.

I guess your mom hasn’t heard of the Babymoon trend (a romantic vacation in the second trimester).

You don’t need to call your OB to triple check, that’s absurd, what do you think could possibly happen?

I flew with my second child much much later than that (34 weeks)
