The kids definitely know and care.

Yikes! You predict Stonebridge will be in B?!!

This is so true. DS and DW asked me what division we were in the other day and they were so shocked we were in a low-tier division. The only thing he cares about is what time he has to swim to get into the top 16 for all-stars. Oh and that he keeps his streak of all-star cut times at every meet (this one is more important.). I have adopted his way of thinking since and have enjoyed myself more this summer.

That may be true for lower-division teams, but kids swimming on upper-division teams both know AND care

And these are men who know where they are, and care, but don’t drink! (With apologies to Kentucky Fried Movie)

no they don't, the good swimmers miss a few meets for bigger events every year, the parents are the ones that care.

I think RV, SB, PO and BE should let the league know which kids they are recruiting for next year, so they can be included in the lead seeding process for their new team, not their former team.

This would address when athletes switch teams mid year, but would probably me accurate than the current algorithm.

Only if the times were posted while wearing a tech suit.

Divisional still has to be swum but, Stonebridge relegated to Div B after winning 4 dual meets doesn't sound right to me, while CG remains in the division with only on dual meet win.

SB = 2006 Juventus

This is hilarious!!!

Are SCY B meet times used as part of the division assignment process?

Our team is moving up to division A on the basis of our IMX scores alone.

Nope. Eldwick is in Division L and didn't win a meet all summer.

I don’t think the kids care as much as the parents seem to.
