Given the new FCPS school calendar, the season feels so compressed. I'm a summer swim evangelist, yet I'd be happy to let this one go. (Parent from a team that sends a ton of relays annually.) (PS - I have tremendous respect for the host pools that take this on!)

Clearly you haven’t been there the past couple of years. They did a great job and much appreciation for them hosting in the past. Those events are a lot of work.

Many times it comes down to parking and not having a sufficient green space/lot/church/school to set up 60+ tents. I know a lot of clubs who would be willing to host, but there is simply no safe place for hundreds of kids to camp out or walk to the pool. Overlee hosted Divisional Relay Carnival, and it was fine for 6 clubs, but no way there is enough room even to rent a parking lot close to it for ASRs.

I looked at the satellite view and they don't have enough space for tents/parking without kids having to cross Lee Highway which is obviously a no go.
