OP, a colleague was at a party several years ago and home fireworks went rogue, went up a lady's dress. She had bad burn wounds to her private parts. Report these people to the non emergency line or it will never end.

See this is why I just cringe in terror listening to stuff landing on roof and don't report. They will know who.

Thankfully it rained and drizzled.
Husband went and expressed concern about out house, they said they would "be careful." Then set off more going up at least 20 feet, exploding again and shooting fountains that went at least 40-50 feet.

Call the Fire Marshall next time.

I think his name is Bill.

OP, Arlington alert just sent this out:

To report illegal firework activity, please use the Fire Marshall Hotline form at http://FMhotline.femsdc.com. Please remember to only call 911 to report emergencies.

It’s 4th of July. Just relax. Your house is going to be fine. Do you not see that there are aerial fireworks everywhere on the 4th?

Love how you worked in “we and they are both white” and the fact that they rent. We all know *exactly* the kind of person you are.

OP here hoist on the self inflicted petards of trying to stave off criticism.
I mentioned race to avoid snark about cross-ethnic cultural insensitivity.
I mentioned renter because they are fairly new to neighborhood, not apparently interested in getting to know neighbors or mention hey we are doing fireworks.

No I do NOT see illegal aerial fireworks all over in my neighborhood. The legal kind, sure. Legal is limited to fountains, not anything that leaves the ground or rises in the air. Sparks less thann12 feet radius.

So it's OK for people of other races to violate the law because of their skin color? Hmmm...

I am going to walk over if I see them and ask they not point launchers at our house. Every house for itself I guess.

I would NOT do that, OP. If you're not friendly with them and they have lots of weapons?

It's absolutely legit to call 911 if they're setting off illegal fireworks, especially if they're landing in your yard.

Going over there might just egg them on more...there are people like that who, if you antagonize them, just get a kick out of pulling your chain.

Cops showing up will actually get them to stop. I'd call at the first burst.💥

THANKS for the warning. Good point. Some happy chain pullers on here, too.

It's not "tossing" they have mortar-like launchers set up in the street in front of the house. Street is narrow btw. This is 22205.

Move to a higher quality neighborhood and abandon the innocent poor that can't avoid the uncivilized.

1. Soak your yard and house as a firewall.

2. Toss fireworks with them.
