No, worst case youve injected yourself with extremely intense hormones that essentially put your body through 20 period cycles over the course of one month. And you're also out 20 eggs that you can no longer conceive naturally with.
20 eggs. That’s not many considering the number you start with. At age 30 you have about 120,000 eggs left. At age 35 you have 50,000+ eggs left. 20 isn’t going to make our break you.
I did (failed) IVF when I was 33. 32 eggs were harvested (I was soooooo bloated!). I’m now in my mid 50s and still menstruating. 20 eggs hasn’t shortened my fertile lifespan (and I went on to have 2 children with any medical intervention)
