I think if our choices are between all socializing together and having to be a little hushed, and having 2 adults have to miss on all socializing after 7 p.m. since they need to stay with the sleeping toddlers, everyone would pick the former.
No everyone doesn’t pick that. Bring a monitor.
I am part of the “everyone”, not the parent of either toddler. I don’t see how monitors helps if the toddlers are asleep in a entirely different building.
You don’t know how monitors work?
I said the choices were having the toddlers in the house, which means everyone can gather there to on socialize after they are asleep, or having the toddlers sleep in apartments a few blocks away, which would mean that someone needs to stay with them once they are asleep.
I get how a monitor works, but I don’t see how it would solve this problem.
You didn't actually explain that the accommodations weren't all on the same property. That would have been very helpful.
That's a bizarre assumption to make. Do you have multiple apartments on the same property as your single family house? I've never even seen that arrangement.
NP but that’s common at the Jersey shore. Big main house, smaller back house, sometimes over the garage, often with apartments. Pool in the middle.

Look, you're been an argumentative ass when you're the one asking for help. I have definitely rented accommodations at the beach that had a main house and guest house on the same property. I hope your vacation sucks at this point. Enjoy light out at 7pm.
