This.
Anonymous wrote:Why do women do so well post divorce compared to men? Women look and act happier. Their love life is better. Men on the other hand go downhill....

And women have a better support network. Unlike men they don't suffer in silence. They talk. They will talk to anyone who will listen to them. So in my opinion this could explain the reason women do better post divorce. But this ability to cope better following a traumatic event like a divorce is also an innate advantage that women have over men. We cannot ignore our biological differences. Each sex has strengths and weaknesses compared to the other.

These are assumptions.
They are observations not assumptions. If the women are younger than 50 then yes they sometimes remarry.
Show your statistics that women over 50 don't remarry. They do actually just in slightly smaller numbers than men
Percent of People Who Divorced at 50 or Older and Did Not Remarry or Cohabit. The women who did partner again were more likely to remarry (12.5 percent) than to cohabit (10.9 percent). For men, it was the reverse: 16.5 percent of them cohabited, compared to 14.6 percent who remarried.

Post divorce, the woman only has to take care of her self, her happiness etc (and kids but she was doing it anyway). Men all of a sudden beed to do all the things mental and physical they didn't do prior and its hard. So they either remarry fast or don't do great. This is not everyone, but typical from what ive seen.
