This is only our third year on our team but it has been the exception rather than the rule about the announcer giving kids names. Our announcer does not do it so we were surprised that it happened.

During A meets the announcers state names before each heat. During the B meets they say the names while the kids are swimming. This saves some time.

This is not a MCSL rule. We are part of MCSL, and our B meet last week ended at 9:45pm.
