Exactly. This seems almost troll like in asking the question. You had a much better response than my snarky one that I was going to respond with.
OP here. race isnt nonsense. thanks to those who took this serious for the rest of you, you'd never say the same if I asked for LGBT friendly LAX teams. your prejudice is apparent and hence the need for more diverse team
So the answer to any type of racism or bias isn't segregation. So not sure what your point is.
It's not segregation to ask for a team that specifically understand recruiting for AA boys. Do you think recruiting is the same for everybody?
There is exactly one HBCU playing DI Lacrosse (who knows if they offer scholarships). So your point is moot because recruiting for HBCU type lacrosse is basically non-existent. You don't think clubs don't know how to assist black lacrosse players in getting recruited. My point stands.
Having a DI lax program is very different than having a D1 Scholarship. A good hunch that said schools
there is more than one HBCU that offers lacrosse scholarships. wow not OP but recruitment is non existent? shame on you. VSU and Hampton both have scholarship lax players. also nothing wrong with seeking a team with minority involvement as a mission. Nation United is a great example. strong national team that advertises to minority players but also has white players on the roster. it sounds like the OP had good intent. please don’t judge the lacrosse community on some of the posters here. this is often the cesspool of lacrosse just read other threads
Having a DI lax program is very different than having a D1 Scholarship. A good hunch that said schools don't have a fully funded scholarship program - Villanova just got to fully fund their men's lax scholarships. Most teams outside the top 40 don't fully fund their men's lax scholarship program. So, yes, HCBU recruiting is non existent but for those schools. In other words, most players will have to look at all the other schools for said scholarship and recruiting.
Nations United has exactly 1 team ranked (a 2026) in the 160 range of that age group. They've played a grand total of 6 games. So while you don't want to hurt the OP's feelings, I want to provide actual facts.
As for OP, if they had originally asked about whether teams have diverse players, it would have gone a long way to actually asking a good question - many teams have different levels of diversity on teams. Some better than others (it is a predominately white sport) but instead the OP asked about AA specific programs.

So u think AA lax players are only interested in 1 college?
that's my point. Regardless of what a black lacrosse player is thinking to go to school, all the options outside of one are just regular colleges. Most colleges have had top end black lacrosse players on their roster - guys like Harrison, Myles Jones, the Bratton Twins and John Christmas at UVA to name a few. I wish it was more but it isn't. This person is looking for a fight for no other reason than wanting to place some emphasis on finding some mythical "diverse" program.

nonsense. it was worded fine. replace AA with LGBT and there would have been no issues...

OP here and you all are taking a simple request, that you could have skipped, and moved on since you have nothing of value to offer. the only fight is the one you all made b/c you apparently dont want to see AA boys play LAX together or at an increased rate. probably both. the hate people have for AA boys is clear from the responses.

OP here, I dont need to do that. I just need names of organizations, real simple request. many people got it. the ones that didnt should ask why asking about AA Boys playing lacrosse was so difficult to interpret especially when 99% of the teams in this area are almost exclusively white.

Anonymous wrote:man, this thread got crazy quickly. without knowing much about your players/sons, as others have mentioned, nation united is a great place to check into. when they do form teams to hit tournaments, they're from all over and are/can be done outside of another club. depending on how much travel, or even wherever your kids are in growing as players.
they also do a boost camp for different ages, instruction and contacts... that last year ran out of columbia, md @ the end of june.
