NP but both my kids had to do this in school, 2 different private schools.

Both my kids wrote about a specific piece of literature and how it had an impact on them and taught them life lessons. Classic book for one kid, story-focused video game for the other. Both write very well and were successful in admissions to their first-choice colleges.

If posters willing to add , would love to know what school your child going to along with essay topic (and major if they know already what want to try to do in school).

^ similar to my DDs topic - she loves to shoot for moon, doesn't care she fails as long as she had fun alone the way...
