To lose weight it’s just empty calories so that means less energy delivering calories if you are counting. If I were just trying to lose weight I probably would skip dinner now and again and have wine instead.
If you are trying to get in shape alcohol is not an option except for special occasions.
Sucks - but there is no strength/fitness building plan I have found that includes alcohol weekly.
