I'm in the same position right now. Last year I did one meal a day IF and the weight fell off. I switched to working night shift in January and I have been gaining even though I am still eating only once a day and I make sure that one meal is nutritious (usually a giant salad with either a bunch of hard boiled eggs or a big piece of oily fish.) I am eating the same food so I guess my body just doesn't like night shift???
I am trying to counteract by getting more exercise.
Of course I can't discuss this with anyone IRL because I'm not overweight and it's around 7 "vanity pounds" but as a short woman it matters to me.

Adding … seems like less. Also - diligently track everything. Weighing on scale etc

OP, would you give us a typical day of what you eat?

Sure. Looking at it, I am not eating much in terms of calories, but probably not enough fruits and vegetables.

Breakfast: Greek yogurt and brewed coffee with milk
Lunch: Turkey and mustard on a tortilla, a few cucumber slices, seltzer
Snack: 100 calorie pack of cashews or almonds
Dinner: Usually a frozen meal of some sort, either Lean Cuisine or Trader Joes, more seltzer
Small quantity of dark chocolate

This is a very small amount of food. I wouldn’t suggest cutting anymore. You’re at a healthy weight, just buy some clothes that fit. Enjoy life, no need to be hungry all the time.

That makes sense. During the week, my work day is pretty busy, so eating is not particularly on my mind. Some weekend days I feel hungry, depending on how busy I am with my kids. I don't buy unhealthy snacks for myself and don't particularly like the ones DH and the kids have around, so am not really tempted.

So you have kids and you are eating lean cuisines and frozen food for dinner?

Eat a lot for the next week, then go back to lowering your calories.

I am there too. I’m 45 and I just lost 6lbs in exactly 2 months. So slow. I cut out alcohol, a lot of sweets, snacking, eating high protein and high fiber.

I already did IF for years. I think that messed up my metabolism right when hormones were shifting so I stopped that. So even with 3 solid meals a day, I’m losing but it’s slow. I’m super active so not interested in reducing to 1300 calories yet.

I get it and on some level I don't either, but I really do not want to have to buy all new suits, and cannot fit in my current ones. They're nice and I have also paid a bunch to have them tailored to fit my former body.

Clothes fit people not the other way around.

You shouldn't be wearing 4 year old suits anyway.

^That is a ridiculous statement. You buy new suits every year? You're dumb.

Maybe you need to shock your body by doing something different like IF. Eat within a certain time window and don't eat anything else. No snacking.

IF was the only thing that worked for me. I'm late 40s

Do you drink alcohol? If so, cut that out.

Not much. Probably two drinks total (white wine or a hard seltzer) per month. But I can definitely cut to zero.

I exercise daily, avoid processed carbs and sugar (except for a small square of dark chocolate per day), and am not intaking more than 1300-1400 calories a day. After four months of doing this, my weight has stayed exactly the same. I really despise HITT workouts, and cannot see myself sticking to them on a regular basis, but I do weight training in addition to cardio. Is it possible that my weight is never going to get to where I want it? What is wrong with me?

Do you drink alcohol? If so, cut that out. Eat your weight in grams of lean protein and lift heavy weights. You’ll see the scale move but more importantly, you gain muscle tone and your clothes will fit better.
