Subject: European trip end of July that doesn't cost a fortune -Portugal, Spain, Italy?
Go to travelzoo UK or Germany, France, etc and book a vacation package. Europeans have 6 weeks vacation, so they certainly don’t pay the daily rack rate.

Slovenia is beautiful and not expensive but might still be crowded in the summer.
