Emory's admitted student 25th percentile is 1470 so ED (aka enrolled students) will be a bit lower.

You do realize the 50th percentile SAT score at Emory is 1500?

Has anyone here seen both one of these three schools and also Case Western, Rochester and maybe some other comparable, less trendy schools?

If so, what do think about the OP’s DC applying to Case Western or Rochester instead of the three listed?

I think of Rochester as being like Wash. U. without the admissions hassles, but I’ve never actually seen it.

Test optional has really inflated these test scores. Emory with a 1480 25th range is absurd

I don’t think it is correct. They are all around 35 percent for ED1.

I can’t find my sources but when I was looking last year they all had combined ED1/ED2 of about 25%…I assumed that meant approximately ED1 of 30% and ED2 of 30% (roughly).

You don’t have to assume, the info is publicly available. For Emory, ED1 has been 32, 37 and 38 percent over the past three cycles (most recent first). Wash U was 35 percent for class of 2027.

I think WashU looks for students who want to attend. I’d definitely visit, articulate why it’s a good fit in the application, and apply ED1.
