Those two deserved to be smeared
If the whole point is to make sure Mary becomes the chair, smearing two colleagues, even if they deserve it, isn't it. After they leave, they are going to still be influential in APS politics too. See Tannia, Barbara, Reid. Good luck to AEM OP.
I just don't even get what her supporters are trying to accomplish here. The whole post made Mary look worse.
+1. Mary was above all of them. Now her supporters put her in the gutter too. Even if it's all true was the post worth it?

AEM OP is definitely putting her butt on the line, but aside from 1-2 people, no one is really saying anything besides oh noes!!!!! Mary is not a victim, she can speak for herself. If she wants to be the damn chair of the school board, she needs to advocate for herself. Her surrogates messed this up.
I'm sure as hell not sending an email or standing up to five people who have ultimate power decisions over my children without understanding what the hell I'm advocating for and if it's even true.
I don't think they have that much power over your children, but they will listen to you less if you put your a$$ on the line for a rumor.

I'm not in AEM, so can't respond to what's going on there. I like Mary. She's a great school board member and usually responds when I write her. No other board member does so. But now I'm wondering wtf she did to piss off so many of her colleagues that they would actually try to keep her from the chair position. I can't believe it's because 3-4 people don't like that she works harder than them.

To me, it feels like a lot of people don’t want to get their hands dirty. They still need to work with two members of the Board that will be left after December. So they turn to AEM so that others will do the work for them.

I don't believe it either. The story doesn't even make sense. Anyone who is emailing the board based on rumors should think hard about how ridiculous they look. Also, Mary K. needs better friends.
The same thing happened with another school board member. They tried to box her out behind closed doors but failed.
I was around for that. The reason why they tried to box EV-S out was because the chair wanted to serve a second year. But it was beat back by the public. CDT is gone. There's only two people who can skip over Mary, and she has the most seniority. I can't believe that pettiness is the reason why they are trying to get rid of MK. It's nonsensical.
Fingers crossed this gets beat back by the public too. I wouldn’t believe it but the person posting it is credible.
If it is credible, the last place I would post is AEM because it just brings out all of the crazy. It’s so bad, it’s now in DCUM. 😂 I don’t know Mary very well, but I’m sure she’s aghast about how all of this is going down.
She should have just asked her supporters to speak at SB meetings. I’m leaning towards if it is true, it’s an exaggeration.
The rest of the Board can’t really hate her that much for taking her job seriously. She’s not even questioning APS that much. That’s Miranda’s role.
