This has happened at my kid's mcps high school.

I’m credible. But this is an anonymous forum. I posted earlier it was a specific incident involving a staff member. No students were threatened. or ever in danger. There was no lockdown because it wasn’t necessary. I can’t give the specifics of the incident because it’s personal and that’s wrong imo.

They should charge both the 12 year old as an adult as if they are old enough to behave like that they are old enough for consequences and their parents. Enough is enough.

I'm out of state.

Our school does medical lockdowns when special needs kids act out/have wellness issues and have to be removed medically or seriously restrained. So they can be discreetly removed from school.

Also oddly when someone got angry and either took a crap in the hall or put crap in the hall.

I live in MC suburbia. It's neither a bad nor an idyllic area.

Yes, MCPS does this. But it doesn't draw a lot of police presence. (Maybe one police and otherwise medical personnel.)

Clearly, if this was all police and no ambulance, then it was a different type of 'personal' emergency. Given that it wasn't a threat and was about a personal issue there's nothing more to say.

If you have a kid there, are you able to contact them to find out? Or their teacher? Or front office, if school hasn't already put out message? Or maybe message approval process at Central Office (CO) is delayed today due to several threats called in to area schools?
