I kind of ignored the newer versions (mine was 2004) and never really payed attention to the next generations.
I mean, my sequoia had a tape deck in it so I doubt the new generations could match that.

I may go back and look at them now that I am getting frustrated and hate the hybrid design/cabin space. It does look cool from exterior though.

I am so annoyed Toyota killed that car with latest version.

We have several friends who drive Yukons who also like them. I test drove one, and the Suburban won out on smoothness of ride.

All these cars are exactly the same mechanically. One does not have a “smoother” ride than the others. You know this right?

Actually you’re the dumbass here.

The Tahoe and Suburban might share similar/identical engines, transmissions and suspension components, but the Suburban has a ~20 inch longer wheelbase. That longer wheelbase alone makes for a noticeably smoother ride. Anyone who understands anything (and that’s not you) about vehicle design knows that greater wheelbase equates to better ride quality.

You should focus on trying to not sound like a nasty know-it-all.

Agreed.

The older Sequoia was based on the original Generation 1 Tundra platform, and it was probably the best half-ton-class chassis that has ever been built. Both 4.7 and 5.7 DOHC V8’s are almost bulletproof engines. Not quite as durable or as simple as the GM small block pushrod V8, but still a very, very good engine.

We love our QX80 - got one a year old and it was less than 60K and it is great!

There is no Lexus version of the sequoia.

Toyota ruined that car with the hybrid redesign. They were nice, spacious tanks.

Infinity is Nissan and it's known to be junk.

Those are the same size as q7 the op said was too small.

Navigators are cool but more like 120k with a terrible maintenance reputation.

If you want off road and something you won’t outgrow again I would look at full size 4 door pickups.

Same size as most large suvs and you can get a nice one under 100k

Atlas is much bigger inside than the Q7

It’s still not remotely categorized as a full-size SUV, which is what OP is asking about. Those are Tahoe, Yukon, Suburban, Expedition, Navigator, etc.
