I’m considering posting a location in MoCo but I have an insane week coming up (volunteering at school, teaching a fitness class for children as a substitute, have to attend a work picnic in Alexandria, and throwing a large party on Sunday).

I’m interested and would love to meet some open-minded women, well, open to being friends. But it’s not going to be this week.

It's so hard. I posted about this a couple days ago and, so far, am not having a lot of luck finding "meetups" and things that are directed to my demographic (in terms of age, local, non-single). It's frustrating. And giving me some anxiety over what the next 30 years is going to look like . . . . I don't do well when I'm bored or when I don't have social outlets.


Wow. Wtf. You lost me at non single. Why aren’t you willing to be friends with single people? Try to being less judgmental and maybe you will make more friends


DP but I don’t think she meant “non single” the way it sounded. I interpreted it to mean that she’s not looking to be part of meetups where the focus is dating/looking for partners. Some groups are — and there’s nothing wrong with that but the dynamics are different. Maybe try assuming good intent instead of attacking someone who is just looking for friendship.


+1 GThere. needs to be basic parameters for this group and this is one of them.

I meant that I'm not looking for a relationship and lots of the groups I'm finding are geared towards singles meeting each other. Geez.

Some women did this on Nextdoor in my neighborhood and they all seem to still be friends
