I think there are some great young looking 50 year olds. But no amount of injectable or surgeries can take away the aging eyes and demeanor of a 50 year old. Just enjoy the ride and don’t try to be what you’re not.


Second paragraph makes no sense: I am 46. I don’t have crows feet. My eyes have not aged at all. People early 30s have wrinkles around their eyes, but I don’t. I claim to look 10 years younger not 20 years younger but I don’t think in 3 1/2 years when I turn 50. I’m suddenly gonna look terrible with aging eyes because I literally literally do not have one wrinkle. I have never done Botox or any injectables or anything like that.

My ex is 50. He has a demeanor of a 35-year-old.

I think your second paragraph is way off base in describing people around 50.

50s is old for a female in the dating world. Period.

Look at Hope Hicks (35) and engaged to 58-year old Goldman Sachs boss.

If you are a woman 50+, it's stacked against you.

Are the 50’s old? They better not be if you’re in the throws of launching kids. It’s more mentally exhausting than anything else.
I strongly encourage people entering 50’s to focus on their physical health and mental well being. It’s good for you and it’s good for your kids to see. It shows the kids Mom and Dad are just fine and they are free to fly the nest.
I am sure glad that phase of life was behind me. Life gets much better in your 60s. We wonder how we survived the parenting process!


+1. Kids are out of college so we are not strapped for cash. Equally, with the house ours alone, we are much more active both outside the house and inside. :<

I'm 57 and I agree. I still want everything in a romantic relationship, including sex. However, the available pool of men is much smaller.

I suppose the good part is I don't really want marriage again. That makes it a bit easier.

There are about 30 years when you're just a regular adult, probably from about 35 to 65. People in that age range are full-time workers with energy and enthusiasm for their career, and they are basic grown a_s adults with a sex drive. They aren't young and they aren't old.

And how you look and feel depends a lot on how you take care of yourself.
Fingers crossed for no diseases etc. I understand things happen out of ones control.

Im fit and beautiful in my 50s. People are so surprised by my age - but if you keep very fit and havent burnt your skin in the sun you dont look any different than your 40s. I just dont get the attitude.
It is easy to let yourself go, i get it - but if you are into healthy lifestyle and dont drink, smoke, you look a lot younger.
