But all of these high step counts are making me feel bad about myself, so I thought I'd share my measly step count in case anyone else is feeling similar.
I thought I was getting between 7-10k steps a day based on the Oura ring I wear. Then I got an Apple Watch a month ago and found out it’s more like 4-5k. I’m like you, full time job, two kids and 47. I work out most days and walk a mile every day. Don’t have time to walk as much as the others on this thread.
How are others getting their step count?

Anonymous wrote:Ok, for those super steppers on here - does it help keep your weight down? I average about 11K a day and would like to bump it up.

Op - I have a dog and young kids. Walk the dog 3-4 miles a day.
Do you have a full time job?
DP, you realize it takes less than an hour to walk 3-4 miles per day, right?
How? Super speed-walking?
The average person walks 3 mph, so if you're walking just slightly faster than a stroll, this can easily be completed.

Can you walk faster than a 20 minute mile? Have you ever timed yourself? My guess is no based on your response. A lot of these goals are much easier than people make it out to be. I will be accused of being an a** but think of all the steps you could take if substituted walking for DCUM. Very simple walking -around your office floor, around your street and in the next two streets.
I time myself every day with my apple watch when I walk my dog. We walk about 2 miles and it takes about an hour.

It takes me 1 hr to do 10K where do you guys find the time.
I play 2 hrs of pickleball 3x a week and don’t track that.

I thought 3 miles=6,000 steps. Is this to say you cover 5 miles in an hour? Are you running?
