You do the same thing you do at 6 am to be at work by 9 am, except now you have time saved because you aren't dropping off the kids before work.

Our neighbors do this (they're pretty close to our house). We can hear the kids yelling (either happily or crying) all day. Parents seem uninterested in being involved in any way.

Our problem is that one is an introvert, for whom going to her own room is a reward. The other is an extrovert who likes constant human contact. Sometimes we punish by sending to their rooms, sometimes we punish by sending them BOTH to the same room - lol - we can't get this one solved.

Woah - I've gotten my 2, 4, and 5 year olds to my 5yos soccer game that started at 8am (worst idea ever) many times on my own. If you're truly asking for tips
- shower night before
- pack snacks night before
- put kids clothes in common area (like breakfast area) if you have mutlifloor house the night before so everyone can get dressed without going back upstairs
- plan for breakfast that can be taken in car if needed

I'd think with two of you, you could fairly easily get up at 7 and make it out of the house by 8. Each get 15min to get self ready while other is keeping the kid show moving

Wut? What are you doing in the bathroom? Get up, one goes to the shower (if necessary) the other makes coffee and gets QUICK breakfast ready. By then the first is out of the shower (no blowouts and a face full of makeup). The one who has showered handles clothes for the kids. Done.

And PP, most young kid stuff kicks off 8/8:30/9:00. Get up at 6:30am, yes even on weekends.

Separate them for the morning.

Our kids are old enough to get themselves fully ready with oversight, load their own stuff in the car, and all that. When we had to supervise or help them brushing teeth, hair, and getting dressed everything did indeed take twice as long.

This past weekend one DC had to be out the door with DH at 7:45. We got up at 6:20 because we typically do bigger breakfasts on Saturdays and made it.
