Have not seen DCU academy developing players lately.
Noticed this also, players leaving town for nearest academy.

Good for them. Proof that one does not need to go to ECNL to get scouted.
None of those kids looks unusually small.
It's all relative, isn't it? But if those 4 kids in the picture on the right are about 5'0" or 5'1", which is what i am guessing (my DS has played the VDA 2011B before; those boys are about my DS's height), which I would call that about average for 13. But one of the boys in picture is 14, and about 5'0" or 5'1" that seems under average for 14. But again, it's relative, and also, who cares? Good on them for getting picked up by DCU, biobanding or not, it's an accomplishment!
5 feet tall cannot possiby be average for 13. I know soccer kids skew small, but that's really really small.

We are Caucasian tall people and my kids were 5’0 and 5’2” until about 9th grade. My 18-year old is now 6’0” (and still growing likely 1-2inches). The son that turned 16 is about 5’7”-5’8” and hasn’t even started big growth spurt—baby face, no facial hair, not filled out.
They are still very young to determine where they end up.

Have to imagine it's going to hurt. The 2011s are a very strong team, and have been pretty much since they started playing together years ago. And this group has been together for a long while. They're arguably losing their 4 best players. That's not insignificant and I can't see it not having an impact on the team going forward.
Anyone know who will coach the 2011s for VDA now that the coach is leaving to Arlington? Still shows him as coaching there, so they have not updated yet.
