Of course Dems are building taxpayer subsidized housing for illegal immigrants and not filling them up with our own citizens who may be homeless or public workers like teachers. Illegals also get free healthcare, courtesy of everyone else who pays for insurance and taxes.
Why are you so stupid OP? Illegal immigrants have more rights than our own citizens. It's been the Dem mantra for the last 20 years.
+1. I rarely subscribe to republican “I told you so’s”, but this one is 1000% valid. How anyone can advocate for open borders, and free childcare and free healthcare for anyone who comes here from Latin America is beyond me. There simply isn’t enough money to pay for it without substantially decreasing Americans’ quality of life and living expenses.

Things like Plan Langston Blvd in Arlington are always about helping teachers and public safety officials, but it's interesting that you never actually hear from those people. My guess is there's already more than enough housing for teachers and public safety officials.

I wonder if this will actually get Alexandrians to open their eyes as to how they’re being played. In this case, there are some developers getting really rich.

The City has a program where people “create” forms documenting income. There is no requirements for W-2s or tax returns. Then they are confounded the school population is increasing and they do not have the revenue to fund the schools, police, fire, roads, etc. The City is facilitating tax evasion. Absolute insanity.
No you have it wrong - “Affordable Housing” is for people who make very low incomes. Incomes that there is no way that a person could live in Alex City unless they were receiving all forms of govt assistance. Teachers and public safety officers incomes all exceed the limits for affordable housing.
“Workforce Housing” is for teachers and public safety officers. This type of housing is very rare.

Where are you getting this info? How do you know these are facts?
The Mayor acknowledges it in a Facebook exchange. If you go to the Housing Alexandria Rent Ready system, they never actually make one present information that they are lawfully here. They also don’t require W-2s or tax returns. Or SSNs.
Absolutely bonkers. My sister- born and raised in Alexandria- is a nurse at INNOVA and still has to work shifts at restaurant to make ends meet. But, broke Mexicans can walk here and they city will give them free housing with her tax dollars.
Obscene.
