I have a friend who's parents are neglecting them, along with there siblings, the husband is also abusive. This said friend is suicidal, but is not supposed to be talking to me. Is there a way to call ask for ppl to go check on them with out giving my name.?

Yes I did this. A friend of mine in another state, who has severe bipolar disorder was posting crazy stuff. I called the local police in her city and asked for a wellness check. You can ask the police not to reveal your name. They won’t.

But if there were any kind of litigation resulting whatever info police got from OP would become available.

The police did a welfare check on my boyfriend and said his mom had called them because he wasn’t returning his calls. (I was standing right there so I know this firsthand.) She probably didn’t mind them sharing this info, but I wouldn’t trust the cop to not share it even if she’d asked it to be a secret. However, I also don’t think the cop would look up her identity if she’d called anonymously.

Police dispatcher here. You can call non emergency and say you want to be anon. We ask for your name in case we need to call you back, we have no idea if you’re using your real name though. Same reason we ask for you phone. We don’t give it out.
Having said that, I’m gonna want real specifics if you want me to send Police to knock on someone’s door. You can’t just say vague things. I’m going to ask for exact wording for what you read that has you concerned.
