You can read a paper newspaper with your morning cuppa, AND do step-aerobics (you Youtube, but maybe you can find an in-person class somewhere).

Young adult kids? At 44?

Dp;

I had 2 young adult kids at 44.

When I turned 45 had a 3 month old, 4 year old and a 7 year old. Pretty normal unless Amish or Mormon.

can we not turn this into a young mom/old mom debate? Having kids in your 20s, 30s, and 40s is all fine and normal.

1NS per cell phones and internet. What a wild concept you meet a total stranger in bar go to their place or your place do the nasty without knowing who they are.

I recall once my brother had a brand new $250 watch. He met a girl in bar. Went to her high rise apt building, had sex. Around 4 am he sneaks out and realizes he forgot watch.

He realized does not know her name or apt number and doorman would not let him back inside!

I miss sleeping until at least 7am straight through. I wake up for the day at 4am after waking up 2-3 times before that.

Why don't you do this now?

I just did this an hour. I went to pick up one book and came home with six.

People that knew how to drive, and didn't rely on their car's "safety features" that dumb them down and make people so much more dangerous.

Going to blockbuster on a friday night, finding a new release still available to rent, then picking up some take out food. Also going to a record store. Also sitting in a coffee shop and drinking out of a glass mug. Not sure I would actually do these things anymore if they were an option but I do miss the simple pleasures of doing stuff like this out in the world.

Everyone gathering around and watching the same TV show at the same time. And then talking about it the day after. The last show like that was Game of Thrones for me.

• When you could visit Disneyland w/o having to make an online reservation first.

Oh YES. I remember waiting each summer to get the "back to school" magazines, primarily vanity fair. Early 90s and the TIGHTS, the skirts, the bags the shoes. It was delicious! Love that expression. Alas I was too poor at my job (and paying back student loans) to buy much fashion.

I miss step aerobics.
Reading an actual newspaper with my morning coffee was nice.

I still have an old VHS tape and a dusty VCR I can lend you. I had an aerobics step that my kids, when they were young, used to reach the bathroom sink. The weird leotards, I think we should leave in the past.
