There was a time when people on here got so mad when people didn't love it and I don't know how many times a stray comment from Common was trotted out to confirm its hip hop bona fides.

My pre-teen kids do like it thought, so I just smile.

I'd say Lin-Manuel Miranda was exceptionally talented with his vision, collaborations, and clever music and lyrics, all of which came together with astonishing speed to become the phenomenon of Hamilton. But nothing he did before or after has come close. That's why I agree with the hype of Hamilton, but do not agree with the hype of Lin-Manuel.

Tried to watch Hamilton when it was on Disney and I couldn’t get through more than about ten minutes. I don’t get it.

Also hated Moana. And I thought “You’re Welcome” was the ONLY decent song…

I share your opinion although I think I’d phrase it In the Heights is not for me.

Oh, and I agree with the general consensus that Moana is great!

It was … ok. I wasn’t overwhelmed by it. There were some parts I liked better than others.

Ha! It's true -- one of the things I like about DCUM is the ability to express harmless opinions that I normally keep to myself because they tend to make people irrationally mad IRL. Instead they make people irrationally mad on the internet, and you can argue about it without messing up your actual relationships.
