I'm actually thankful for this board. While it does tend to trend negative, it IS one of the only places that is active to discuss soccer in the DMV area.

I'm also thankful to all the volunteers to make things happen in the background. Seriously we need more volunteers people! Help give recognition to the many thankless jobs in youth sports.

We are leaving our toxic team after this season. No one knows and it feels so good to know we have light at the end of the tunnel.

I want to share how impressed I have been with VYS and its “no room for abuse” program to get coaches, players, and parents off the backs of the very important referees who make all levels of soccer possible. You can’t play without referees. My kid plays and refs for some extra spending money and it is a great program to support referees.

Kudos to VYS.

My son's u10 team has had the same wonderfulcoach for 3 years. He has not only coached them beautifully, but inspired them to work hard and dream big. The result is beautiful youth soccer, great communication, and the boys play for one another.
