NP. I've found this isn't exactly true. Hiring teachers, maybe. But I have applied for countless front office/admin support type jobs within FCPS and have never even received an interview. I have a college degree and years of work experience with the federal government. At this point, I have no idea what they're looking for.
DP. I think they’re looking for people willing to take classroom roles. People are fleeing the classroom, looking for any school job that doesn’t directly involve teaching and all the agony that goes along with it.
If you apply for a teaching position, you’ve got a good chance of getting it. You don’t even need certification right now because most counties will help you get it through alternative certification programs.

It is so hard to find part time work and every other position seems like volunteer work. I don’t want to work retail. Why is it so hard to find? I understand why so many SAHP resort to charity and committee work.
It's you. You're the problem. You have all these demands that no one really needs ... except fast food and retail.
"Meaningful work." Bwahahahaha. No one's gonna pay you so that you can feel you're doing something "meaningful" or that you're fulfilling a "purpose" or some shit like that.
