“On guard”?

For what? What do you think you’ll be able to do? Nothing, that’s what.

Horrific scene, see by kids from Latin(s), WLA, Perry, Truth, Brookland Middle.

So the shooter was defending a kid who was getting jumped?

We need to make schools safe for bullies!

An 8th grader in DCPS could be 17.

Second murder (at least) within a year.

Last year, a man was shot. He had walked to Brookland and then the shooter walked him to the CUA campus and shot him.

Of course the killer had been let out to await trial for a different crime he committed. That’s why he was around on the streets to shoot more people.

I am just now leaving the scene of the fatal shooting involving a minor at the Brookland Metro Station. I extend my deepest sympathies to the family and loved ones of the victim. This senseless act of violence is traumatizing for our community.

What is known so far is that there was a fight involving a group of juveniles on the platform. A juvenile not involved in the fighting fired shots into the altercation, striking and killing the victim. 2 MTPD Special Officers who were at the station jumped into action.

MPD is currently coordinating with MTPD. Chief Smith shared that there will be increased presence in the area as they are actively working to solve the case. If anyone has information about this case, they are asked to call 202-727-9099 or text the anonymous tip line at 50411.

I know this is unsettling for neighbors and will be sharing more steps I’ll be taking with community partners to address the trauma caused by gun violence. I will also be doing everything I can to ensure the person responsible for this senseless killing is brought to justice.

What is your PLAN to deal with this, dude? We don’t need to “address the trauma” - we need to ARREST AND PROSECUTE CRIMINALS.

If they get tough on crime, it will disproportionately affect those of certain races. The council members therefore won't take steps in that direction.

“Frankly, my dear, I don’t give a damn.” So over this woke sh$& by now.

The teens committing these crimes (let's not forget the young girls killing the homeless man) feel as though they are entitled to be evil and get away it. And so many adults look the other way. These teens do not hold life as a valued thing. And it won't change. In the name of anti racism - all the egg shell walking has created monsters.

And it will disproportionately save lives of certain races. But they don’t seem to care about that do they?

Yup. It’s absurd how soft we are on teens. Okay their brains aren’t fully formed yet, but they should be formed well enough to not freaking shoot someone in a crowded area. If you show that poor of judgment then you’re just evil and a worthless piece of crap. I have no interest in rehabilitating this criminal. I only want to keep others safe from him. Lock him away for 30+ years, DC will be a better place for it.

+1

Let’s not forget he also was carrying a gun around. I don’t care where his brain is in terms of development- he is a teenager who I discriminantly fired a gun he shouldn’t have had into a group. He’s dangerous and stupid.

The whole thing about brains "not being fully formed is irrelevant" to this crime issue IMO. Most teens are not murdering people and it frankly does not matter why he did it. Violent people need to be locked up to protect the rest of society from this bad behavior.
