I was in VT too. A few towns east of Burlington. We had some high thin clouds that I think added to it. Maybe was more interesting than a totally clear sky.

It was awesome. Hard to put into words.

Yes! I grew up in its usually dismal springs. I live in Maryland now, but came back to Cleveland for the eclipse. I’m so happy the weather forecasts were off base, calling for way more clouds than we had.

Watched from near Rochester, was completely cloudy but still interesting. At least I saw the 2017 one with clear skies.

By definition, the moon is in between the earth and the sun during a solar eclipse. That means the dark side of the moon is facing the earth (aka a new moon). You would never see it normally because there is not enough light reflecting off it to see it. The only reason you will be able to see it during the eclipse is because it will be directly blocking the sun.

We’re at Oberlin, a 1/2 hour west of Cleveland to watch with our college kid. Completely clear sky and 60 degrees. Given that it snows here in April, I am shocked how perfect the day is.

How are you going to be three places at once?

They’re not, doofus. They’re going to pick one and go there and cancel the other reservations.

I’m staying at a super 8 that was booked full but the parking lot is pretty empty.
