Google used to. I think they cut back recently to save money. People like OP packed a meal to take home to eat for dinner.

My job pays for my family vacation! We do an offsite each year fancy place. I have to go to a few short meetings but while family wife and kids go.

Some places give a free car.

I have gotten free meals

I have gotten big bonus or big 401k

One job free medical

Perks add up

This is the strangest post I’ve seen in a while. OP has the mindset that all of the 60 year old men in my office THOUGHT we had when it was time to return to the office after covid. They provided bagels and thought we’d be thrilled to come back because of the free food!

For the sake of conversation, this was true in my experience. I worked in the spa of a hotel in NYC in my early 20s and could have two meals a day in the cafeteria for free with my position, it was honestly a huge boon for saving money at a time when so much of my pay was going to rent.
