The biggest hits are
Dino nuggets (even my college student loves these!)
Mini corn dogs
Pirate booty
Strawberries
Fresh choc chip cookies (I keep dough refrigerated or frozen)
Dominoes pizza and their brookies
Pineapple (fresh cut)
Waters, sprite, lemonades
What hasn’t been a hit:
Wings (shocker I guess too dirty)
Mozz sticks (I think they cool too quick)
Grapes
Tortilla chips and dips of any kind (queso, guac, or salsa)
Carrots and hummus
Popcorn
Any dessert besides cookies or brownies
Coke, Diet Coke, root beer, juices
So I tend to just keep my garage fridge stocked with foods I can easily heat up or I just order dominoes pizza and brookies.
Yep! I was shocked at how the fresh pineapple got scarfed up. One time I had cut one the night before to grill and had some leftover. G.o.n.e.
I would add:
Aldi’s Extra Cheddar “Turtles” (their goldfish knockoff that doesn’t leave orange powder on your fingers)
Pretzels with “dip” (they raid the condiment fridge shelf - mustards, salad dressings, and a variety of Asian sauces like hoisin, sweet chili, teriyaki)
Bibigo dumplings
Quesadillas (sometimes just with shredded cheese but any leftover shredded meats are a plus)
Sweet Tea (I grew up in NC and as did several of our regular teen guests parents so it’s a thing, I suppose)
But the never-fail, never-any-left: home baked chocolate chip cookies.
