You can break up with a boyfriend for any reason, so just know that going forward.

This was a major red flag,, and good for you for ending it.

Breakups are seldom fun, and don't usually feel good, but that doesn't mean it's not the right thing to do.

Good. I'm sure he was surprised. I'm sure his inability/unwillingness to consider someone else's perspective has shown up in other areas as well.

I wouldn't expect you to feel good breaking up with him. I suspect, though, that you will realize it's because of the loss of the idea of him rather than him. You dodged a bullet.
