Then your school isn’t particularly impressive
Right, you basically just said your school falls in the middle of the pack.
Well yeah... Middle of the pack for free. Imagine paying $50k±/year and getting these scores. Yikes.
Yet, here you are with your nose pressed up against the window of our fancy restaurant, salivating over meal.
Salivating over these scores? Hahaha... No. Your kid will likely end up at the same university as the unwashed masses of public school kids. Cheers!
I remember when my kids were young they had two babysitters. One went to the local public (Blair, non magnet) and one went to Georgetown Visitation. They both ended up at Clemson. I remember talking to my husband about it. We pulled out kids from private shortly after that.

Get your crayons. You need to be explained like an ignorant child that scores are not the only reason one attends private.
Jealousy is not a virtue.
Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Anonymous wrote:Some of those are lower than the average SATs of surrounding public.
Surrounding public is more likely to have a group of low performers who aren't taking the SAT at all.
And most privates don't take those low performers as students. So that evens out, yet, some of the surrounding publics still have a higher SAT average.
Oh, yea, I know I know... test scores don't matter that much. Tell that to OP.![]()

Anonymous wrote:The data is from Niche (which I take it as self-reports from the unrepresentative sample that is Niche users). Gonzaga's website reports its average SAT as 1295 (vs 1330 on Niche).

Someone who is paying $50K for an average burger at a fancy restaurant is just dumb.
