My social security records show my SS earnings were $37k at 30 and $82k at 40. At 50 they were $136k.
I guess my actual earnings are somewhat more than that. Also the great I turned 30 was a bit of an outlier as I was self employed and that was my lowest earning year. But ignoring that it looks like I get a $50k raise every ten years.
I know this is considered “poor” in these parts but I’ve always had plenty of money for what I need. Eg i bought a house the year I turned 30 despite that “low” income and that house gave me a $600k profit when I sold it.

I'm a fed.
At 29, I was only making 50k as a post-doc, so from year 29-30 was my big jump!
I don't anticipate any more jumps unless I go to SES.

Care to share your family's story, including what lead to the net worth change?
I started a business young that did well (ie $450K) but I really grew it between 30 and 40. Eventually the profits far exceeded what could be spent/ reasonably invested in the market, so I started related businesses and then non related businesses. And then everything grew and grew.
In the last 6 years our net worth has more than doubled from the $19M.
It may not take money to make money. But once you have money you sure can make money with it.
