I didn’t realize how much I do gossip so working on that too. We just donated zakat and gave extra to orphans fund, schools and the mosque. I’m also trying to have more patience with my kids and spouse and incorporate little acts of kindness. I reached out to an estranged family member to reconcile.

If you don't feel hunger, its not a fast, its dieting. Fasting help understand how tough poverty can be and how hunger is more than just waiting for next meal to be served. Empathy.
But if you don’t give food to hungry what is point?

Cinnamon raisin bagel and a bottle of water. You won’t be hungry or thirsty all day . Everyone’s different but I find bagels are the best breakfast for fasting.
Donuts or eggs or oats just cause more hunger or thirst.

The best ones will be at mosques and they will be for free, open to everyone
or ask on college campuses what the Muslim kids do because certainly they aren’t making meals. Usually a local restaurant will cater to college kids as free promotion
