Isn't it 20 spots total? Or did they increase to 22?
It's just 20. So that means...only 5 boys and 5 girls in the class would be new kids. The class increased from 1 class to 3 in K and they accept 28 new kids for K. So I think word on the street is that it is easier in K to get accepted. We applied for PK and got in, but if we hadn't...I planned to try again for K.
Anonymous wrote:Hate to burst your bubble but there is virtually no chance of getting in off the waitlist for PreK unless your kid has a sibling there or a parent attended. I know plenty of siblings that were waitlisted for PreK and had to apply again in K. If by chance a spot opened bc someone moved or declined, I guarantee it would go to a sibling first. They also work hard to ensure the class fits certain demographics so a spot might open up but it may be designated for a girl or a boy or a certain race or religion. Your kid on the waitlist would have to fit the demographic they need.

Send them an email letting them know it is your first choice. If you don't hear anything in a week or two I would call and ask them specially but politely where your child is on the waitlist. They should be able to hint to you your chances.

It does seem like pre k would have a 100% yield. Has anyone ever been taking off the wait pool for prek.
Seems the other years have but haven't heard about pre k
I know of one family who was called off the waiting list for PK so it happens.
What year was it?
Last year
It was not. There are not a lot of siblings in the current PK class
Was it a sibling?
