The dough definitely does not need the 2 T of sugar (nor do I usually use a whole entire half cup of the sweetened condensed, but if you’re trying to use it up…).

When I was a kid, my grandmother used to make be buttered bread drizzled with condensed milk for a snack. It is quite delicious!

Yes- not to derail the condensed milk thread, but evaporated milk is perfect for these things-- scalloped potatoes, chowders and, wait for it, hot chocolate. Use evap and not fresh milk. Plus you always have a can or two in the pantry!
