Interesting đ¤
Definelty out there which is why I asked if that was happening around here earlier in this thread. Didn't think it was and from the ignoraneous responses, I can see why its not happening around here now. Its not for everyone, given how difficult and even dangerous for some young woman to even attempt, but that doesn't mean there are not girls who can fit in just fine on a boys MLSN team. if we want more creative and dynamic players this only occurs by playing with boys, not cause they are better but because more young boys play soccer globally, and pick-up culture is all about confidence and swag. Things girls are unfortunatley not socialized to do comfortably, those who do can become ballers that play like Linda C. or for thos clueless to that reference play like Rose L. or Mel B.

It could only happen in the younger ages.
Fwiw, Iâm a female- played in college. Iâm not bashing women. But even I stopped playing the son-parent games when these boys were 6â+ and 175+. Itâs like a freight train coming at you. My brother broke my wrist with a shot when he was 18 and I was 14.
And many of the MLS Next teams are very focused on size and physicality over technical skills, tactical and soccer IQ
So injuries are high

Anonymous wrote:U14 and below is valuable training and playing experience for girls on boys teams. An elite girl player in those early ages that is phisical and technically sound would be an equal or better contributor than the average boy player.
At the early ages, the benefit for the girls is tapping into a play mentality that is fundamentally different than the one on the girls side. Itâs not for everyone but you can always tell a girl who plays with boys - more selfish, more cunning, more opportunistic. These are all things that are not valued or encouraged in girls soccer. Girls are socially conditioned to feel bad when they beat a teammate or suppress their competitiveness in order to be more likeable, boys are not, etc.
No real benefit to separating pre-pubescent players by gender. Technique, mentality, commitment are far more important in the development environment. Most elite training outside of club doesnât differentiate until much later when size and physical strength kicks in because theyâre not burdened by the establishment the way clubs and leagues are.
OP specifically asked about MLSNext in the DMV area and the answer is likely - no, few if any. And the reason is that there isnât much opportunity for boys and girls to develop together in a competitive environment so by the time theyâre of age to participate in the elite leagues, the competitive gameplay gap is too wide for many to succeed.

When they play with girls, they have to play at least two age groups up usually because they're very skilled and also very physically and athletically developed for their age, even as much as two or three years ahead of their biological age
So girls suck? Is this why a U15 boys team beat a USWNT?
We are finally admitting the games are slower and not as good as menâs now? Or is that only until our daughters make a National team or go pro ?
