Is Claremont really nice? We walked through the campuses last spring break, but there didn't seem to be much of a town. Maybe we missed it getting on and off the highway

Don’t disagree. I will say Carrboto (a town right next to Chapel Hill) has more charm at this point. It’s more of grad students/postdocs place.

Seriously. Iowa was my DD’s safety and we just went to admitted students day and fell in love. It’s an awesome town. It’s now her top choice!


Nice school and definitely one of the best college towns.

Agree. Still okay but definitely not like it used to be! Same with Boulder. Scenery still great but town is now yucky place for college. Oxford MS is charming. And Gainesville used to be dump but nice now. But Auburn, and Madison win with Ann Arbor, Athens, and handful of CA towns right there.

Where T is accessible and not too far from the city.
Through Fenway to Boston Public Garden alone, there are a ton of things to do.
