This coming August 2024, Bethesda Soccer Club will offer a girl's high school fall program. In recent years, more of our top players have chosen not to participate with their high school teams, and paired with the growing number of Virginia-based players in our club, this is now a necessary step. This program is optional for the players in our club. Still, for players who desire to train and play in the club environment year-round and for our VA-based families, this will provide the needed structure to support all Bethesda Soccer Club members. This program will be open to all ECNL high school-aged players. As our club looks to expand our facilities, we plan to offer three days of technical training followed by a weight/speed and agility session. We will also bio-band the players and have them train with one of our top boys' teams each week, which will be based on level. In addition to the training, the team will play games in August, September, and October and end the season in early November. Bethesda's goal will be to provide an alternative to high school soccer and improve these players technically, tactically, and physically during this window. We will hold a Zoom call in May to discuss this in more detail: a Zoom link and time to come in a follow-up email.

No one is mass exodus’ing anywhere. Stop it. Clever title tho. You’re part of the problem plaguing our fake news mindset obsession post 2020. Cleverly placed words and boom, rumor starts. McLean is obviously a top club for many many players and parents who can continue to love it as they alway have.
I kinda feel like it’s all Brave parents obsessed with the topic which would make sense since Brave is “going away”. Life will go on. Or parents who think their kid is the next goat and feel the need to wander aimlessly here starting 💩

It doesn't unless BRAVE or BRYC coaches get older teams. Those coaches have no track record or network compared to McLean.

Are you on the board of the FXU and can confirm that's true? Whether we stay or go will depend on coaching slate.
Are you saying your kids are to good to play for BRYC or VYS coaches?

I think the people leaving are the bench. The top players are staying true, and are hopeful that the new combined talent will be good. But the clincher will be coaches. A highly brave slate will drive them out.

They aren't. This is likely other clubs trying to rustle up more players for their tryouts.

But wouldn't the same issue apply at pretty much all of the other ECNL and GA teams?? I can't see ECNL clubs like booting out their own players to accommodate new ones, but they sure would create a huge roster and take the bubble players $$$ without a second thought.
